There is no sterile chic in Deisterstraße; it has charm and offers pulsating life. In beautiful summer weather, the Deisterstraßenfest in the Deisterkiez was once again distinguished by its special characteristics. It does not aim to be chic, but rather to combine social and cultural aspects. The close connection to the neighborhood plays a decisive role here.
Culinary stalls from all over the world, a main stage with a live program, independent events in and in front of stores as well as activities by institutions in the district and exercise offers are planned.
The organizers were the Standortgemeinschaft Deisterkiez e.V., which was founded in 2008 with around 30 members and initiated the "Lust auf Linden-Süd!" district festival Special attention was paid to car and barrier-free accessibility.
