Putbus Festival

As every year, all those interested in classical music will get their money's worth this May.

For several years now, young artists have been coming together at the Putbus Festival from Ascension Day until Whitsun. Under the motto "Classical music and young artists", they present their interpretations of classical music to a knowledgeable audience and gain valuable experience in the process. Quite a few of the former participants have gone on to make great careers.

Those who come to Rügen especially for the festival should traditionally travel on the Bäderbahn to fully capture the atmosphere of the island.

A festive opening gala always takes place in the Putbus Theater. This is followed by chamber concerts, performances by big bands, theater performances, ballet performances with young eleven and classical music in Putbus Park performed by musicians from the region. The theater will be bathed in a whole new light with juggling and fire acrobatics.

The festival musicians can be experienced up close and exclusively from various seats in the theater and are also happy to take a seat at a table for a chat. Music-loving guests are enthusiastic about the Putbus Festival.
