The Princely Garden Festival at Wolfgarten Palace is one of the most renowned garden events in Germany. Wolfsgarten Palace was built from 1722 to 1724 according to the plans of master builder Remy de la Fosse on behalf of Landgrave Ernst Ludwig of Hesse-Darmstadt.
The international sales exhibition for garden culture and rural lifestyle takes place annually in September at an exclusive venue: Schloss Wolfsgarten is located in the middle of the Rhine-Main region, around 15 kilometers from Frankfurt, and is only open to the public on two occasions each year.
The 20,000 guests who visit the Princely Garden Festival Schloss Wolfsgarten each year include lovers of plants and garden culture as well as trade visitors. Around 170 national and international exhibitors present their special treasures on an area of around 30,000 square meters: extraordinary plants, high-quality garden furniture and tools, fine arts and crafts, chic fashion and accessories as well as exquisite culinary delights.
The event is characterized by its botanical focus and the personal influence of the landgrave family of Hesse. The highlight of the grounds is the Japanese Garden, a wonderful idyll with extraordinary plant treasures. A supporting program of art, music, specialist lectures, guided tours and workshops as well as an excellent gastronomic offer round off the gardening pleasure in the middle of the Rhine-Main region.
There is also a supporting program of art, music and activities for children - an incomparable gardening experience.
