Every year since 1991, Dental Health Day in Germany on September 25 has focused on preventive care, the prevention of dental, oral and jaw diseases and the education and promotion of personal responsibility. Dental Health Day 2014, for example, was held under the motto "Healthy starts in the mouth - a heart for teeth!".
In the fall of 1990, the "Dental Health Day Action Group" was formed, which has coordinated the measures and campaigns ever since. The focus of the day of action and remembrance is on local and regional campaigns to educate the population in practically all regions and federal states.
The aim of the day of action is to inform as many people as possible about oral health and thus prevent dental, oral and jaw diseases.
