The Pol'and'Rock Festival is a rock festival that usually takes place over several days from the first Thursday in August in western Poland (sometimes at the end of July). Its motto is "Love, friendship and music" and it has been held regularly since 1995. Until 2017, it was called Przystanek Woodstock (German: Haltestelle Woodstock), after which it was renamed due to trademark disputes over the use of the word "Woodstock". According to the police, more than 700,000 guests attended the festival in 2011.
The Pol'and'Rock Festival, formerly known as Przystanek Woodstock, is above all a great musical adventure where the ideals of the original Woodstock '69 are brought to life. The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair is one of the most famous rock festivals, taking place from August 15-18, 1969 on one of the farms in the rural town of Bethel, New York, USA. The event was attended by around 500,000 people and featured artists such as The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Joan Baez, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Ravi Shankar, Carlos Santana and many more.
