Welcome to the Erding Autumn Festival, which debuted in 1816 as the "Agricultural District Festival" and has been held every year for ten days on the last weekend in August since 1949. Over 400,000 visitors flock to the festival site in the charming old Bavarian ducal town north-east of Munich every year.
The festivities feature two large festival tents, a variety of rides, games of skill and shooting galleries. The festival tents are entirely dedicated to the art of brewing, with each one dedicated to one of the two local breweries - one for Helles, the other for Weissbier, including a type of beer created especially for the festival.
The Erding Autumn Festival shines as the third largest folk festival in Upper Bavaria, after Munich and Rosenheim. An inviting mix of tradition, entertainment and delicious beer awaits visitors in this lively Bavarian community.
