Millions of rock lovers around the world gather every May 16 to celebrate the World Heavy Metal Day, one of the most popular and popular branches of rock around the world.
The date as such was born in 2011 on the initiative of fans and musicians of Metal or Heavy Metal, in honor of one of the greatest exponents of this musical genre: the legendary Ronnie James Dio (1942-2010).
Italian-American vocalist, consecrated as "the godfather of Heavy Metal" due to his outstanding voice and his ability to reach low and high tones. He was the lead voice of bands such as Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Elf, Dio and Heaven&Hell.
