At the initiative of Senator Anderson Cáceres Quiroz, the plenary of the Chamber of Senators approved to pay a just and deserved recognition to the Bolivian youth on its day, to be celebrated this September 21.
Law No. 342 of February 5, 2013, establishes September 21 of each year as the "Plurinational Youth Day" providing that all levels of the State may carry out activities in commemoration of this important day.
The purpose of this norm is to guarantee young people the full exercise of their rights and duties, the design of the institutional framework, the instances of representation and deliberation of youth and the establishment of public policies.
It also fully declares the "Plurinational Youth Day", which was recognized by the United Nations Declaration, with the purpose of highlighting the protagonism and participation of youth in the development of the states.
"The purpose of this law is to ensure that young people achieve an integral, physical, psychological, intellectual, moral, social, political, cultural and economic training and development; in conditions of freedom, respect, equity, inclusion, interculturality and justice to Live Well; through public policies and an active and co-responsible participation in the construction and transformation of the State and society", highlighted the legislator.
