Elche - Noche de la Alborada is a celebration held in the Spanish city of Elche in honor of the city's patron saint, the Virgin of Asunción. It is held on August 13.
Cosentain has a patronal feast in honor of San Hippolito Martir. Hippolytus of Rome or Bishop Hippolytus was a writer of the early Christian Church. Apparently he was elected the first antipope in 217, but died in reconciliation with the Church in 235 as a martyr, for which he is now venerated as a saint.
In Ponteso, La Coruña, is the Fiesta de la Barquinha. Barquinha is a town located in the parish of Barro of the municipality of Noia, province of La Coruña, Galicia, Spain.
August also begins the week of festivities in honor of San Roque, which are parades, festivals, processions and dances.
In Cabezón de la Sal Cantabria, it is the feast of the patron saint in honor of Our Lady of the Virgin del Campo and San Martín.
