National Nahuat Language Day in El Salvador is held on February 21. Día Nacional de la Lengua Náhuat. This event in the third decade of the month February is annual.

The Nahuat language is a cultural legacy that is still preserved by some of the indigenous communities settled in western El Salvador. It was transmitted through the migrations of Nahuatl groups from central Mexico, which populated the current Salvadoran territory at different times between the 8th and 13th centuries.
The Legislative Assembly of El Salvador decreed that every February 21 as the "Nahuatl Language Day", in recognition and promotion of its contribution to Salvadoran culture.
