Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine is held on August 29. Memorial Day of the defenders of Ukraine, who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. This event in the third decade of the month August is annual.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on marking the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine fallen in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine on August 29.
"In order to decently honor their memory, I signed a decree on the establishment of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine fallen in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and its annual marking on August 29," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
