Long before shopping malls and supermarkets, it was a unique opportunity for people to get their hands on food and tools.
Skilled craftsmen and traders negotiate while Viking warriors clash in dramatic battles – and jesters entertain the public. Get up close to the action of the life-like re-enactments, try your hand at archery or browse the traders’ stalls in search of the perfect souvenir.
The market lasts for a whole week and is fittingly set in one of Denmark’s best Viking-themed attractions, Ribe VikingeCenter.
