This is one of the most famous and bloody events of the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991-1999. in January 2007, the International Tribunal qualified the actions of the Serbs as “crimes of genocide”, more than 8 thousand adult male Bosnian Muslims died at their hands. It was the largest massacre in Europe since the end of World War II. In turn, in January 2009, the European Parliament proclaimed 11 July the Day of Remembrance of the Srebrenica Genocide.
