Prince of Wales Day in Tuvalu
Prince of Wales Day in Tuvalu is held on November 12. This event in the second decade of the month November is annual.
Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022, at her Balmoral residence at the age of 96 after reigning for 70 years.
Upon her death the throne passes to her heir Charles, until then Prince of Wales.
Charles has become head of the Commonwealth of Nations, an association of 56 independent countries and 2.4 billion people. In 14 of these countries, including the United Kingdom, the king is considered head of state.
These countries, known as Commonwealth realms, are: Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, New Zealand, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.
