The Seym of the Republic of Poland established May 29 as the Day of Veterans of Activities Outside the State. On the same day, we celebrate the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers. The Veteran's Day in Poland was officially celebrated on May 29, 2012 for the first time.
The Veterans Day of the Fights for the Independence of the Republic of Poland, celebrated annually on September 1, was established on April 25, 1997 by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland as a feast of defenders of the Fatherland, commemorating those who died in defense of Poland's independence on the battlefields.
