The Philippines is commemorating the death anniversary of Ninoy Aquino today. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr. is undoubtedly considered by many as one of the greatest people that the Philippines had ever produced. He was the youngest Korean War correspondent. He predicted martial law four years before it was imposed.
Ninoy Aquino Day is held every 21 August to commemorate the life and death of Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. Senator Aquino, along with his wife Corazon, are attributed as leading lights in modern Philippine democracy.
