On December 11, Argentine Freemasons, celebrate their holiday. It is a simple date, and at the same time a fundamental one.
It commemorates the day in 1857 when the Grand Lodge of Freemasons of Argentina was created.
The pact signed by the lodges Unión del Plata, Confraternidad Argentina, Consuelo del Infortunio, Tolerancia, Regeneración, Lealtad y Constancia, began their institutional history, and the first Grand Master was Dr. Jose Roque Perez.
Today, Argentine Freemasons face the unusual task of being 21st century people and maintaining the vitality of their institution.
The construction of citizenship, democracy and republican values calls them to work.
