National Homeless Day is celebrated every year on November 28th and was established with the purpose of raising awareness and developing ideas and proposals to help people living on the streets.
On this date, there are many organizations that, under the slogan "Make me visible, for dignity, no one homeless" call on the governments of the world to make commitments to develop policies that protect these individuals who lack a home and create measures to ensure their access to fundamental rights such as housing and health.
A total of 28,552 homeless people live in Spain according to the 'Survey of homeless people' corresponding to this 2022, published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), representing an increase of 24.5% in the last 10 years.
