Every September 21st is celebrated in Argentina, the Day of the Aeronautical Engineer in commemoration of the death of the Aeronautical Engineer Francisco de Arteaga, who was the first Argentinean to graduate in Aeronautical Engineering in 1918.
Francisco de Arteaga was one of the great promoters of the creation of the Military Aircraft Factory in Cordoba, inaugurated on October 10, 1927. He was a tireless researcher, teacher and entrepreneur. He died in the city of Córdoba in 1962, at the age of eighty.
