Every September 20, the National Horse Day is celebrated in Argentina, as a tribute to equines, as a fundamental part of the historical, economic and sports organization of the country.
Annually September 20, since 1999, the National Day of the Horse is celebrated in Argentina, established by Law 25.125.
Proposed by the Argentine Equestrian Federation, the celebration recalls the arrival on horseback of the rider Aimé Félix Tschiffely to New York, in a trip that allowed to demonstrate the resistance of the Creole horses.
That journey was possible thanks to Gato and Mancha, two horses that today rest in the estancia El Cardal with their rider.
Gato and Mancha are a symbol of the horse's dedication and loyalty to noble causes that made history.
