Eating disorders are an often invisible disease. Our society understands perfectly well that a person can have different diseases but when it comes to eating disorders, diseases such as anorexia, bulimia etc ... are seen from the point of view of the sufferer as something to be endured in privacy or to be ashamed of.
For this reason, the Day of Action for EDs is celebrated worldwide on June 2, a day on which everyone, all clinics, professionals, families and patients who know about eating disorders, join forces to give visibility to this disease.
