World Leisure Day aims to reinforce leisure as a social right and its importance in everyday life, as well as to expand its possibilities of manifestation and promote reflection on the access and barriers that still exist for many people around the world.
This day is a good time to reflect and remember the need for access to leisure for all people, to an inclusive leisure so that all people can participate with equal opportunities. And it is an issue of more importance than we think, since leisure is an important part of life and social relations. Therefore, it is essential that it is designed and offered for those people who have more difficulties to relate and participate with their peers: people with functional diversity.
