Although in Argentina it is commemorated every August 29 in line with the anniversary of the birth of Juan Bautista Alberdi, February 3 is celebrated internationally as Lawyer's Day. The date, established in 1958 by the Argentine Federation of Bar Associations (FACA), honors who was a lawyer, jurist, economist, deputy, writer, musician and author of the Bases and Starting Points for the Political Organization of the Argentine Republic, text that is considered the source of the National Constitution of 1853.
