On September 13, as every year since 1995, the International Chocolate Day is commemorated worldwide. A celebration not minor if we consider that Chile is the country with the highest consumption of this food in Latin America.
According to the study of the chocolate and cocoa market in Chile prepared by ICEX, the most consumed chocolate products in the Chilean market are tablets, accounting for 50%. This is followed by boxed assortments and chocolate bars with 15%. In addition, the study points out that all categories have maintained a steady growth during the last years, with the exception of 2016, when the Food Labeling Law came into force. Taking into consideration all of the above, today seems like a good day "to indulge" and enjoy that chocolate we love so much.
