Day of the Divine Savior of the World, August 6. Fiestas patronales de San Salvador, or Fiestas Agostinas, are celebrated in honor of the Divine Savior of the World in the capital city of El Salvador.
The day begins with a respectful parade for the Patron Saint of the town, El Salvador. This parade arrives at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, where a decorated mass takes place. Afterwards, the bells ring and a spectacular fireworks display takes place. In the afternoon, the Procession of Salvador takes place and ends with another closing mass and fireworks of great repercussion.
