In Argentina, the Day of the Graduate in Economic Sciences is celebrated, in commemoration of the appointment of Juan Manuel Belgrano as first secretary of the Consulate of Commerce, an event that occurred on June 2, 1794.
This hero of the country advocated free trade and did not stop fighting the privileges of the peninsular merchants. Belgrano's vision, patriotism and lucidity and his liberal ideas materialize in the valuable heritage of the thousands of business schools that operate in our country today.
