"Babusia," the formal name for grandmother in Ukrainian, may be tough for little ones to pronounce. But the nickname version, "Baba," is equally charming! "Dido," the formal name for grandfather in Ukrainian. As a granddaughter, daughter, and mother I know one thing for sure… family is everything. My heart is with all the grandparents, parents, and children of Ukraine.
I want to say thank you for not giving up hope for a life of freedom I have been so fortunate to inherit and to be able to pass on to my childrens.
