On November 10, Brazil celebrates the Day of Wheat, which is the second type of cereal grown worldwide, in addition to what is considered a staple food for the production of some other products, such as flour.
On average, Brazilians consume 40.62 kilograms of wheat per year, according to data from the Brazilian Wheat Industry Association (Abitrigo). And this ends up being reflected in agriculture, in the face of a greater domestic demand for the product: the production of the cereal in the field can reach the record mark of 12.5 million tons.
