King Tut Day is held on November 4. He became the ruler of Egypt at the age of 9 and died at the age of 19. On November 4, 1922, his tomb was opened, and what was found there was almost intact. This event in the first decade of the month November is annual. Help us Help us
4 November - King Tut Day
He became a king when he was a boy. His original name was not Tutankhamun twt-ꜥnḫ-jmn: [twt (“image”) +‎ ꜥnḫ (“living”) +‎ jmn (“Amun”)]. Tutankhamun loved to hunt ostriches. One of Tutankhamun's favourite possessions was an iron dagger.
Tutankhamun has the smallest royal tomb in the Valley of the Kings. He was buried in a second-hand coffin. Tutankhamun's heart is missing.
Despite his brief reign, King Tut is perhaps Egypt's best known pharaoh because of the wealth of treasures—including a solid gold death mask—found during the surprise discovery of his intact tomb in 1922.
