Fibonacci Day
Fibonacci Day is held on November 23. This event in the third decade of the month November is annual.
Leonardo Fibonacci learned the Hindu-Arabic numeral system in Algeria, North Africa, and Bugia.
The mathematical ideas the Fibonacci sequence leads to, such as the golden ratio, spirals and self- similar curves, have long been appreciated for their charm and beauty, but no one can really explain why they are echoed so clearly in the world of art and nature. The story began in Pisa, Italy in the year 1202. The Republic of Pisa honoured Leonardo Fibonacci because of his achievements.
Book of Squares is considered his masterpiece. The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones, which is 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, … Therefore, 0 + 1 = 1, 1 + 1 = 2, 1 + 2 = 3 and so on. He made an important contribution in spreading decimal numerals.
