Be Heard Day

There is no atmosphere in space, which means that sound has no medium or way to travel to be heard. There are many ways to make yourself heard - from taking part in European elections to signing a citizen’s initiative or submitting a complaint to the European Ombudsman. A group of lions, also called 'a pride', often roar together to mark their territory - a roar can be heard from 5 miles away.

It can be hard to feel like you're being heard, whether it's in a meeting at work, with your significant other, or simply out and about in the world. This can be especially true for women, who may face the pressure of being labelled “shrill” or “pushy” when they try to make their voices heard. While there's no magical formula to make people listen to you, there are things you can do to make it more likely that you'll be listened to.
