Research in 2008 showed that Asian bees and European bees can understand each other. Today is Don’t Step On A Bee Day, highlighting the value of bees and the good work done by the nation’s beekeepers. This day marks the importance of the existence of these insects and the work that they do.
Research in 2012 showed that bees can recognise human faces. Without the tireless work of our little buzzing friends, over a third of everything we eat would disappear from our tables.
