International Kiss A Ginger Day
International Kiss A Ginger Day is held on January 12. This event in the second decade of the month January is annual. Help us
A redhead is a person with red hair. Although sometimes it looks more like orange, “orangehead” isn't a thing. Only about one percent of the entire population is a real redhead.
The holiday reportedly began back in 2009 as part of a Facebook group and was intended to offset "Kick A Ginger Day", which apparently happens in November. (Not to be confused with National Redhead day). Again, we can't stress it enough, do not take it upon yourself to give out unsolicited kisses to unsuspecting gingers. Created to support a more positive spin than its counterpart, Kiss a Ginger Day brings sweet kisses to redheads who may have once been teased for their hair color.
