Carnival in Angola is held on February 13. The main day of Carnival season is a public holiday in Angola, falling on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. This event in the second decade of the month February is annual.

Go now before it's overrun by tourists, because Angola is bound to be one of the next big things on the African continent. Colours, party, a national day off and a Brazilian-style event. Carnival lives up to its reputation as the big holiday of Angola. Luanda has its own Sambadrome, including a massive parade that will be attended by the president.
