Polish Statistics Day (Dzień Statystyki Polskiej) - a Polish holiday celebrated annually on March 9, adopted on December 2, 2008 at a meeting of the Statistics and Econometrics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
This day was chosen to commemorate the session of the Four-Year Sejm on March 9, 1789, during which Fryderyk Józef Moszyński justified the carrying out of a statistical census in Poland. As a result, on June 22 of the same year, the Seym proclaimed the census of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and passed a constitution called "Smoke inspection and administration of the population".
