Vision Health Month in Canada is held on May 1. Also Ankylosing Spondylitis; Awareness Month; Bladder Cancer Awareness Month; Brain Tumour Awareness Month; Celiac Awareness Month; Hemochromatosis Awareness Month; Hypertension Awareness Month; National Physiotherapy Month. This event in the first decade of the month May is annual.

May is Vision Health Month, and the Canadian Association of Optometrists is running an awareness campaign with a call for Canadians to “Get EyeWise” to help encourage optimal eye health and vision care. Vision Health Month is a great time to raise awareness about eye health and ways to prevent vision loss. A regular eye exam by a doctor of optometry is the best way to stay on top of eye health.
