We eat twice as many eggs at Easter as the rest of the year. A few years ago, it was calculated that we eat 250 miles of grilled sausages at Easter. It is more common to measure sausage consumption in kilos, and at Easter Gilde assumes that we will eat 1300 tonnes of grilled sausage, which is ten percent of the annual consumption and four times as much as in the average week. During Easter, we do away with a third of the annual consumption of Quick Lunch. We eat 16-17 million plates.
