Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is a nonprofit educational event that involves parents taking their children to their workplaces for one day. It can help expose children to the adult working world and connect it to school. The event started as Take Our Daughters to Work Day back in 1993 in the U.S.
The event, first started in 1993, is a fun and educational way to expose children to the adult working world in a positive manner. The program draws more than 37 million Americans and 3.5 million workplaces that participate each year.
In Ontario, it occurs on the 1st Wednesday of November. In Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane Australia it occurs on January 5, just after Christmas Break.
