The National Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Genocide committed by Ukrainian nationalists on citizens of the Second Polish Republic was established in 2016 by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland on July 11, that is on the anniversary of "Bloody Sunday" - the apogee of the crimes committed in 1942-1947 in the eastern borderlands of the Second Polish Republic. As a result of these actions, about 100,000 people died in total. of our countrymen, murdered in a cruel way, often during church services.
The Volhynian Massacre is undoubtedly one of the most tragic periods in the history of Poland, which went down in history as an example of unimaginable cruelty and hatred. Out of respect for the victims, everything should be done to ensure that the memory of this crime never ceases.
