On October 12, the day known as Hispanic Day or Hispanic Festival is celebrated throughout Spain, a date that commemorates that "Land in sight" that Rodrigo de Triana supposedly threw to the four winds when he sighted the island of Guanahani after 60 days of a long journey that turned history upside down.
The discovery of a new continent by Admiral Christopher Columbus and his crew gave rise to the birth of a new identity, one that arose from the fusion of Hispano-American and Spanish cultures, which is precisely the bond that extols October 12. .
