Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland is the heir apparent to the Swedish throne, as the eldest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf. She became the heir apparent to the Swedish throne on January 1, 1980, after the Act of Succession law was amended to include female successors.
