The Schützenfest Meerbusch-Büderich is a traditional event that takes place every year at Whitsun. It is organized by the St. Sebastianus Schützenbruderschaft Büderich von 1567 e.V..
History: The brotherhood was founded in 1567 and has a long tradition of shooting. It combines community, tradition and youthfulness.
Highlights:
On Whit Saturday evening, the festival begins with a party band to set the mood.
From Sunday to Wednesday, there are parades and marksmen's processions accompanied by around 1,500 musicians and marksmen.
On Tuesday, there is the big gun salute, an impressive musical and traditional highlight.
Special features: Around the marquee there are fairground rides, shooting and raffle stalls as well as confectionery stands, making the festival an experience for the whole family.
It is a festival that celebrates tradition and community and delights visitors from the region.
