The Sim-Jü funfair in Werne is a traditional folk festival that has been taking place for more than 660 years. The fair transforms downtown Werne into a colorful funfair with numerous rides and attractions.
A classic at the Sim-Jü-Kirmes is the Ferris wheel, which is located at the end of the fairground on Hagen. It offers a great view of the illuminated funfair, especially in the evening.
In addition to familiar attractions, there were also some new features. For example, the "Konga" ride replaced the canceled "Delirium". Other rides also caused quite a stir.
Number of participants: Around 200 showmen took part in the Sim-Jü funfair.
It is the largest funfair on the Lippe and attracts several hundred thousand visitors to Werne every year.
