Zetel Market

The Zetel Market is probably one of the best-known and most traditional folk festivals in north-west Germany. Since it was first held in 1721, it has become firmly anchored in the cultural heart of the region. The market attracts visitors with a lively mix of tradition, entertainment and trade. For four days, Zetel becomes the center of the Frisian way of life and joie de vivre. The event usually takes place every second weekend in November, with the exact date depending on the Day of Prayer and Repentance. The Zetel Market Wednesday always falls on the Wednesday in the week before the church holiday.

Parade: A colorful parade with hundreds of participants takes place on the opening day.

Amusement park: A large amusement park with rides, stalls and food stalls provides entertainment for the whole family.

Live music: Live bands for all tastes play in marquees and beer gardens.
