The Mölln Old Town Festival is an annual folk festival in the historic old town of Mölln, Schleswig-Holstein. It traditionally takes place on the last weekend in August and attracts thousands of visitors from the region and beyond every year.
The Mölln Old Town Festival has a long tradition and can look back on over 600 years of history. It originally took place as a market to celebrate St. Laurentius. Over time, it developed into a folk festival with a varied program.
On Friday evening, a colorful parade with floats, music groups and dance groups opens the festival.
Live music: Various live bands provide entertainment on several stages in the old town. From pop and pop hits to rock and folk, there is something for every taste.
Handicrafts and culinary delights: You can purchase handicrafts from the region and sample culinary specialties from all over the world at numerous stands.
Family program: There is a varied program for children with carousels, bouncy castles and face painting.
Fireworks: On Saturday evening, a large fireworks display takes place over the lake, providing a breathtaking finale to the Old Town Festival.
