The Rudolstadt bird shooting is a folk festival in Rudolstadt, Thuringia. It developed from a shooting competition held for the first time on August 28, 1722, in which a wooden bird was shot at with a crossbow. The festival describes itself as Thuringia's biggest carnival and attracts around half a million visitors every year. The fairground on the Bleichwiese is home to 75 fairground attractions, ranging from an 80-metre-high chain carousel to a bratwurst stand.
This year's thousand meter long fairground mile with selected showmen and showwomen invites you to once again celebrate peacefully and happily together.
