The Ulmer Volksfest is an annual folk festival in Friedrichsau in Ulm, Germany. In 2013, the Ulm Folk Festival was the first folk festival in Germany to be honored as a finalist in the Ulm Marketing Prize for its experience and visitor-oriented concept. The marketing prize is awarded biennially by the Marketingclub Ulm / Neu-Ulm e.V. as a regional office of the German Marketing Association for special marketing achievements with proven economic success.
The Ulm Folk Festival is one of the oldest 30 folk festivals in the whole of Germany. Its roots go back to 1429, when Emperor Sigismund granted the people of Ulm the right to hold a fair.
The family folk festival offers a variety of attractions, food villages and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
The Ulm folk festival takes place in the Friedrichsau and lasts 11 days. It always ends on Schwörmontag at midnight.
