Eltville Rose Days

Tens of thousands of rose bushes blossom throughout Eltville every year in late spring. All this and much more is the focus of the Eltville Rose Days, which take place every year on the first weekend in June in the town of sparkling wine and roses.

The Eltville Rose Days not only delight the locals, but also many visitors from near and far. Every year on the first weekend in June, Eltville celebrates the flower that is of particular importance to the town: after all, it was not for nothing that the Society of German Rose Friends named itself the "Rose Town".

The colorful festival program is as varied as the splendor of the roses in the gardens of the castle and along the Rhine. Specialties, food, handicrafts and delicious rose-related delicacies are on offer. The plant market at various locations in the city center, on the banks of the Rhine and in the Electoral Castle is also particularly popular.
