"Mainz leuchtet - Das Late Light Festival" is the new event highlight in Mainz. The aim is to further enliven the city center with spectacular light installations and to create a new, appealing offer for locals and tourists. Well-known Mainz buildings along the "Mile of Light" from the Rheingoldhalle to Schillerplatz will be illuminated with video projections - accompanying programs on the theme of "light" will round off the event.
The various buildings and squares will shine in impressive visual representations that embody the diversity of life, the constant change and the transience of all things and magically bring the city's historic and iconographic buildings to life. The spectrum ranges from moving projections and interactive installations to typographic productions accompanied by emotional music.
