The Fährmannsfest Hannover is a three-day music and culture festival in Hanover. With around 10,000 visitors, the festival is the largest alternative open-air festival in the Hanover region and is also known as "the little Woodstock on the Leine".
The Fährmannsfest is the largest alternative open-air music festival in the Hanover region and at the same time an extraordinary summer district festival for all generations. Since 1983, Hanover has been celebrating on the first weekend in August at the confluence of the Ihme and Leine rivers with lots of cultural performances, picturesque sunsets over the water and socializing well into the summer night.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Faust meadow is once again transformed into a huge playground. Young Fährmannsfest guests can let off steam with exercise games and take part in creative activities.
